How the prices are worked out

Every job pays for a fixed setup (about 45 minutes of crew time to drive there, walk the job and get to the dump) plus a share of a full truck's loading time, dump weight and truck cost. Overhead is added once per job. The total is divided by one minus your margin, then rounded up to the next price ending in 9.

Check it against your market

Compare your sheet with two or three local competitors who publish prices. If your full-truck price is far above theirs, the usual fixes are a cheaper dump, a bigger truck, or a second crew member who cuts loading time.
